Announcing
our 2010-11 Season
Seven celebrations of the art of song in the intimate
setting of
Walter Hall, with its beautiful acoustic for vocal chamber
music,
evoke the atmosphere of domestic music-making around the
world, from the drawing-rooms of Vienna and Leipzig to
the Red House, Aldeburgh and the music-room of Isabella
Stewart Gardner in Boston, while "A Shropshire Lad
in Ontario" will bring us right home to Toronto.
Our
Sunday Series
in Walter Hall maintains its distinctive character, with
the music of each concert set in a narrative framework
and afternoon tea at intermission.
Also
in Walter Hall, our Discovery
Series features bright,
emerging vocal talent from the new generation.
Details of the
fifth Bayfield Festival of Song, in June 2011, will be
announced in the new year.
Artistic Directors Stephen Ralls and Bruce
Ubukata appear as pianists in all concerts.
Come
and celebrate with us!
